The traditional fishing port of Kellon Kiviniemi
There is an old-fashioned fishing port in Kello, known as a food haven for locals and nearby residents. During the melting season, fishermen arrive on the shore from early morning, when fresh fish can be bought directly from the fishermen. You can shop all year round at the Kalapuoh, a shop specialising in fish delicacies. You can get to Kello from Oulu by car or directly by bus No 21.
Those who enjoy the life of a skipper can also take their own boat to Kiviniemi. The guest harbour, protected by sturdy breakwaters, is open to visitors during the high tide. The guest berths are located at the jetty opposite the harbour entrance and at the end of the breakwater. You can enjoy a cup of coffee at the Knaap café and refuel your boat. There are swimming beaches on both sides of the harbour for a refreshing swim.
